TOI: As filmmakers use promotional songs to lure viewers to cinema halls, audiences and musicians complain of being cheated. They say songs are the soul of Indian movies, but if that's true, Hindi films are becoming increasingly soulless. It's not uncommon now to find that the song that impressed you in the film's promo on TV is missing from the movie itself when you watched it in theatres.
