Mumbai, Nov 26 (IANS) The glamour world of Bollywood still shivers at the memory of the 26/11 terror attacks that hit the city a year ago. While some like Celina Jaitley remember how she escaped it narrowly, others like Imtiaz Ali want people to learn to deal with such situation.
Bipasha Basu: I was shooting for “Aa Dekhen Zara” at Royal Palms on 26/11. While I was on the way back, I saw the Vile Parle blast and was stranded in the crazy chaos. We somehow drove through the melee to reach home that night. I want terrorism to be wiped off the face of the earth. Is that asking for too much?
Hema Malini: I was in Mumbai. Someone told me to watch television. I couldn’t believe what I saw. November 26 used to be associated with so many wonderful things. It is a meat-less day and a friend’s wedding anniversary. Now the joy of that day is gone forever. Now 26/11 is a day of terror forever. I remember the day with a heavy heart. My love to all those who lost dear ones on that day.

Kurbaan which released in theatres on Friday is a thought provoking and a powerful movie which has hit theatres in the year 2009. With this movie, Karan Johar provides the thoughtful and intense Indian cine goers paisa vasool entertainment. In a way, this film is as fresh as a wind that easily blows the old thoughts away. It looks as if Rensil Desilva, the director of the Kurbaan is more like a scientist to whom every drop of titration matters, as every minute of the film is hard hitting and succeeds in gripping the audiences thoroughly.
With Kurbaan its three hits in a row for Karan Johar as a producer (Dostana, Wake Up Sid and now Kurbaan) and he is set for more with My name is Khan to be released in early 2010. Karan succeeds to raise the Dharma Productions banner flying high. The film is based on the backdrop of terrorism. It taps the life in the United States of India after 9/11 and clearly succeeds in doing that.

Mumbai, Nov 14 (ANI): Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have said the theme of their upcoming film Kurbaan (sacrifice in Urdu language) is global terrorism and its effect on society.
The duo launched an online game of their film in Mumbai on Friday.
Set in the United States, ‘Kurbaan’ is a romantic thriller with terrorism as its milieu.
“There is no connection to whatever happened in Taj and Oberoi. This is a horrible thing that happened to our city. No one can forget the attacks in Parliament, London and New York. Global terrorism is a horrible thing that has become a part of our lives. So this film is about things like that. But it’s got nothing to do with 26/11 and I don’t think we would ever make a film to try and capitalise on something like the anniversary of something horrible,” said Saif Ali Khan the lead actor of this flick.
