Sunidhi, Atif, Almost Angels rock Atlantic City
Written by Administrator
Tuesday, 19 July 2011
This past Saturday on July 16th, 2011, Atlantic City witnessed the magic of Sunidhi Chauhan and Atif Aslam. Given that the event was being held in Trump Taj Mahal, we also captured the local regular group Almost Angels as well, which I am sure some of you will love.
The concert was saved by Sunidhi Chauhan for most part as she churned out her best numbers with few improvisations and tons of energy. The gals went bananas when she sang Shiela Ki Jawani. Apparently the teenage crowd in particular simply loves that number.

Mumbai, May 20 (IANS) After wooing music lovers in Pakistan, ‘Coke Studio’, a popular musical concept, now comes to India and it will bring together 45 musicians from different parts of the country who are experts in various genres such as folk, classical and qawwali.
The Indian version is called ‘Coke Studio@MTV’ and will be air on MTV next month.
‘We have such a rich musical heritage that it’s surprising that we don’t have a platform to bring this heritage out and show it to the common man. Only film music has taken over completely,’ Aditya Swamy, channel head, MTV India told IANS.
New Delhi, May 19 (IANS) Vishal Bhardwaj’s rural drama ‘Ishqiya’ Thursday won four National Awards — including awards for best music for the director and best female playback singer for his wife Rekha Bhardwaj.
There were two technical awards for the film — while Kamod Karade won best audiography location sound recordist, Debajit Changmai was named best re-recordist of the final mixed track.
